Inspired by the story of how Prada created pragmatic, heavy-duty nylon materials for their bags for everyday use - while every other fashion house was focused on utilizing the rarest of leathers - Connor Burtis and I ordered a series of military surplus goods and went to work: tents (from the Army), cargo straps and parachutes (from the Air Force) now comprise what we are affectionately calling, MARFA.
